The number one question I find myself asking is “Is the money really worth it?” I think a lot of students with jobs could relate to this. Balancing the schoolwork and homework, hours at your job, family time and maintaining a relationship and friendships is a big challenge. Hello everyone, welcome back to Global Transmission. I’m Connor and if you couldn’t tell, I’m revisiting my episode about jobs with a new point of view. I’m trying something new with this intro, so I hope you all like this.

So, I just made an episode about being unemployed a few weeks ago. What happened? Well, I got hired at Walmart as a cart pusher. It may sound easy, but I really don’t like doing it. I don’t think I should say anything too bad about it just in case somebody from there is listening. I like my coworkers and everything, but the job itself is miserable. I really don’t like getting the carts from the parking lot and bringing them up to the store. I usually have to use this janky machine that can hold about 20 carts at a time, but it feels like it stops working every other day. It’s definitely not a fun job and I don’t recommend it to anyone. However, having a job has been very rewarding for me. The pay rate is alright, and it’s very nice to have money to spend when I want to.
I’ve spent a lot of money on stuff I don’t need. But it’s not like I have bills to pay or anything, except for gas. I always keep a bit of money for gas just in case. So far, I’ve been alright about saving but I do buy some Transformers figures every now and then. I really don’t know what else to talk about today, but I just wanted to make a follow-up to the original episode about jobs. Thanks for listening, everyone. I’m Connor with the Globe and I’ll see you next time.
