On Monday, Feb. 24, the Celebration of Black Achievement took place in the CHS theater. The evening honored “the brilliance, resilience and impact of our students, staff and alumni,” superintendent Nisha Patel said.

Sophomore Audrey Fine made a Purim grogger in JSU on Tuesday, Mar. 4. A grogger is a noisemaker that’s often made from a paper plate, cup or other container filled with beans, rice or other small items. Groggers are used to make noise during the recitation of the Megillah on the Jewish holiday, Purim.
