On Sept. 25, the cross country team competed at the DuBourg Invite. Senior Anna McAndrew was the varsity girls champion, taking first place, and junior Karl Barthel was the varsity boys champion. Senior Cesarine Cross came in third in varsity girls. “This race was super exciting because everyone on our team did really well, and it was a great boost to our motivation in the middle of the season,” Cross said.

Homecoming week started on Sunday, Sept. 29, with the annual powderpuff at 2:30 p.m. at Gay Field and brahleyball at 4 p.m. at the Shaw Park Sand Volleyball Courts. The senior boys took first place in brahleyball for the second year. Classes decorated their designated hallways for their assigned Greek god from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to end the day. “I had so much fun coaching brahleyball and was so glad to see a very enthusiastic team full of great players,” senior and coach for the senior boy’s brahleyball team, Hannah Taylor said.
