The girl’s volleyball team started their season with a Jamboree. “It was a great opportunity to play together,” senior Ally Ord said. “Our team had only been practicing together for a week, so we used the Jamboree to build our team chemistry and focus on our fundamentals.”

On Aug. 29, the football team faced Principia in the home opener. Students dressed in white packed the stands to show their support. The final score was 21-13. “I love the fact that the football games allow all different grades to come together,” senior Shiv Patel said. “It is hard for me to actualize that as a senior I’m down by the gate starting chants when not too long ago I was a freshman in the back row.”

As the second week of school begins, club meetings are starting to take place. On Thursday, Aug. 29, The Feminine Collective held its first meeting to discuss club logistics and gather student input. “I’m very excited for the new feminine collective club because I think it’s crucial to support and lift the woman around us,” senior Parker Anderson said.
