Freshman orientation welcomed the Class of 2029 to the high school for a day of introductions and tours. Link Crew members ensured the transition was seamless for the new students. Leader senior Genevieve Roach showed students tools for success. “I like being a part of Link Crew because we are able to give advice that we could’ve used freshman year,” Roach said.

Among the booths at the activity fair was French Club. One of the co-founders of the club, sophomore Luke Jeans, is ready to keep expanding the club. “Joining French Club is a really fun way to learn about the culture and language,” Jeans said. “We’re excited to welcome new members and continue to do all things French.”

The class of 2025 kicked off the year with the annual Senior Sunrise. Students watched the sunrise and celebrated their final high school chapter with matching t-shirts provided by senior class officers and breakfast donated by parents. Senior class secretary Anna McAndrew enjoyed seeing the grade together again after the summer. “Senior Sunrise was such a cool event because I got to see everyone for the first time again before we were back in the building,” McAndrew said. “Senior Sunrise was about more than just an event, it was a moment to come together and see how far we’ve come. I also thought it was great that everyone wore white because it created a very connected atmosphere that made me happy to be a part of the class.” For senior Kennedy Anderson, the sunrise felt like a full-circle moment. “Seeing everyone I grew up with in one place on the last first day of high school was really cool. It was a surreal morning that I will remember for the rest of my life,” Anderson said.
