Elementary students invited to submit favorite school memories in art form

After scrolling through the 16 images in the gallery, please write down the name of your favorite artwork in the comments section for a chance to be featured in the Globe. Remember to cast your vote before April 2, when the magazine goes to print.

  • SOAR by Ian: “When I think of Glenridge, the first things that pop into my mind are Griffins and S.O.A.R. SOAR stands for safe, on task, accountable, respectful. At Glenridge we do learning about including diverse people and that is what this little piece of art is about.

  • The Trip by Arya: My favorite memory is the field trip to see “Pete the Cat.”

  • Pumpkins by Kohana: My favorite memory is making our pumpkins and painting them later.

  • Pirate Ship by Dasha: My favorite memory is driving in a bus to the pumpkin patch. We went to the pirate ship to play. I played with Aubrey.

  • The Pod by Maebel: My favorite memory is being in the art room with my friends, because during Covid me and three of my friends made a group called “The Pod,” and during zoom school it wasn’t like being in the actual art room. Now I get to do art with my friends.

Theater Director Mallory Duncan holds the 2004 Globe issue, with her picture on the cover as a senior. Duncan played a central role in the cover story, where her creativity and hard work behind the new Student Run Musical were showcased.
Alumna Returns to the Stage
Physics teacher Greg Schade poses in his new classroom. "Clayton has quite the reputation of being a really good school, so that excited me," Schade said. "And then Clayton High School does Physics first, which is not that common, but I love it."

Band Director Tommy Perry leads the Jazz Band class, guiding students through complex rhythms and melodies. Under his direction, the class explores a diverse repertoire, honing their skills and fostering a deep appreciation for jazz music.
