CHS Fall Sports Overview

  • ““I’m most looking forward to growing as a team this season on and off the field. I want our team to just gain a sense of chemistry and be able to have good communication on the field that leads to good play. I think that our season will go well, we lost a lot of strong players last year but part of every year is rebuilding the strength of our team,” said Ella McDonald.

  • “This season I’m most looking forward to bonding with the team. Since it’s my last year, I wanna make sure that its the best year. I just want everyone to get along, have fun, and win some games. My goals for the team are to stay persistent even when we are losing. It’s possible to come back after being scored on, but I think we tend to lose faith in ourselves after another team scores, so I just hope we can grow around that. I think that the season will go well. We are trying out a lot of different formations on the field so hopefully, we find one that works best for the dynamic of the team,” said Aitana RosasLinhard

  • “A goal for the team is to go to state as a team and get a trophy at state. We are definitely excited to ‘pr’ and to bond as a team,” said Sophia Pelligreen.

  • “Last year we were really close to making it to state, we got second in our section. So our goal this year is to make it to state as a team this year. And overall just to have a really positive attitude about tennis and a good team environment,” said Esther Wang.

  • “Our goals for the season are to build a community within the soccer program and [to] represent the program on and off the field,” said Charlie Hoette.

  • “This season, I am looking forward to building our connection and ability as a team. We have a fairly new team this year, so I am excited to bond as a team and make friends with everyone. I think having good team chemistry is very important for the team’s performance. Already, I think our team has gotten along very well which has improved our performance. We have a goal this year of being over .500 (have a winning record). This is a goal because this year we have a much tougher schedule, and we play harder teams that will be harder to beat. Other than that, I hope that everyone has fun, and improves throughout the season. Although we are not as strong as last year, the team is a lot of fun and hopefully, our excitement will carry into games to help us win. I hope to be a good leader for our team, to help our season be the best as possible,” said Natalie Blanke.

  • “This season I’m definitely looking forward to coming together as a team and just being able to spend time together outside of games. I think that team bonding and developing good team chemistry are really important aspects of the game. Our goals for this season are to work on our defense and passing patterns across the field, as well as to win as many games as we can,” said Ruby Nadin.

  • “This season, our goal is to really be able to adapt to the challenges we’ve been facing. We have a lot of injured players who currently can’t play, so making those adjustments work for everyone’s strengths and weaknesses is something we’re really working towards as a team. We’re all excited for a fresh start with great new coaches and to grow as a team and as individuals as we do every season. One thing people should watch for is the adjustments we make on the field whenever need be- we are all really flexible and able to play more than one position to best help out the team, so definitely watch out for the quick position changes and flexibility we have as a team,” said Maryn Kearney.
