Dr. Turley

Q: What is your favorite teaching memory?

A: This is not a singular memory, but I love when I read a sentence a student wrote and it helps me rethink an idea I once held. Then the next year when I reread the text, I think of the student and how they helped me expand my thinking.

Q: What school are you coming from and how long have you been teaching?

A: I am coming to Clayton High School from Kirkwood High School. This is my 18th year teaching.

Q: What are you most looking forward to at CHS?

A: Learning from and with the students. I hope together we create new learning experiences that we can’t even imagine right now.

Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?

A: Playing ping-pong with my friends in middle school and high school.

Q: What does your dream day look like?

A: Wake up. Play 18 holes of golf. Eat lunch. Play another 18 holes of golf. Eat dinner. Play 18 holes of mini golf. Go to bed.
