Clayton football was well prepared to play Lutheran North, the eight rated small school by the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
Sophomore Tyler Melvin had a dominant performance as running back and Jake Brown played well at quarterback. The team won 34-7, Lutheran North’s only points coming in the fourth quarter.
The Greyhound defense was also strong in the win, picking off the Lutheran North quarterback three times.
The team hopes to build off of this week’s dominating win as they get ready to play fourth ranked Parkway Central next weekend
