This past Friday night, April 22, St. Louis was pummeled by a severe storm that produced high winds, torrential rain, piercing hail, intense lightning, and several formidable tornadoes.
The Globe’s Paul Lisker ventured a short distance northwest from Clayton to the area surrounding Lambert St. Louis International Airport, where he discovered a path of devastation, destruction and havoc. Shattered windows, bent highway signs, leveled building, and fallen trees littered the area as a testament to the violence of the storm.
Fortunately, no lives were lost in the storm.
