Hundreds of people flock into stadiums for baseball’s opening day. Everyone is always excited to see their favorite players step out onto the field for a new year. We root for our favorites and cheer for our team. Baseball’s opening day could be a new national holiday.

Budweiser launched a petition last month, headed by Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith, to make baseball’s opening day a national holiday in the United States.
For it to become a holiday, Smith must obtain 100,000 signatures in 30 days. The petition will go directly to President Barack Obama if he can get 100,000 signatures.

In order to help Smith get 100,000 signatures, go to (or tell an adult to go to) budweiser.com. Keep in mind you must be 21 or over to enter.
